Come out Friday May 11 and Saturday May 12 to meet Jeannie Morrison, author of The Little Lemur.  She will be out in the picnic area, signing copies of the book.  Also, featuring Lemur face painting!

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the Great Strides Austin walk benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation here at the zoo today.  More than 600 walkers helped raise over $120,000 for this worthy cause.

Are you a hot shot with a camera? Submit your best Austin Zoo photo taken within the last year to info@austinzoo.org by May 24th. If you win your photo will go on display at the zoo, and you might win an Xbox!  One submission per person.  Inquire at the gift shop for more info.

Austin Zoo is in need of donations of animal carriers, or crates, for holding and transporting our animals.  These can be donated new or gently used, and we are looking for any size or shape.  As always, your donations are tax-deductible.  Austin Zoo accepts donations in the gift shop every day, from 10am to 5pm.  If you have any questions about donating to Austin Zoo, please call 512-288-1490.
