Welcome to Austin Zoo & Animal Sanctuary.
Austin Zoo is home to monkeys, lions, panthers, prairie dogs, and many more fantastic animals. Our zoo experience is unique- a true Hill County Zoo - where you can get close enough to appreciate each animal. We offer a petting zoo, train ride, concession stand, gift shop, picnic area, and Hill Country views - for an enjoyable afternoon or weekend. It's a great place to get education, entertainment and exercise, all while giving back to the world.
Austin Zoo is a sanctuary for rescued and abandoned animals - domestic and exotic. We are a private, non-profit organization, not affiliated with city, county, or state government. We rely on your generosity through admission and private donations.
