Birthday Parties

Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary is a great location for a birthday party.

Reservations	To make a reservation, call (512) 288-1490 and provide the following: The date and time you would like to schedule the party Your name and the birthday person’s name Your telephone number(s)/contact information Estimated number of guests $50 deposit (see additional information below)
Cost and Payment	The cost of your party is a $6.00 per guest admission fee with the following requirements: For a party of 15 or more people, the admission fee is $6.00 per guest as long as one person pays the total admission for all guests Any guests individually paying their own admission are not counted as part of the group and will be charged the regular admission price Full payment is due before you and your party guests leave the zoo or before the gift shop closes at 5 pm – whichever comes first.
Deposit	$50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your party on our schedule This can be paid over the phone or in person – Visa, Master Card and cash are accepted This deposit is applied to the total cost of your party This deposit will assure adequate space for your guests. You may re-schedule your party without penalty, but if the party is cancelled, your deposit will not be returned
Guest List	A guest list (including family members) must be provided when you arrive on the day of the party All guests should be advised to check in at the Gift Shop as they arrive, so we can mark them as present on the provided guest list. Your list will be used to calculate the total number of guests in attendance and the total cost for the party
Food	You may bring food and drinks into the Zoo Pizza delivery to the Zoo is available from Pizza Hut (512) 358-0000, Mr. Gatti’s (512) 583-8098, or Craig O’s (512) 891-7200 Plastic leopard print tablecloths are available for purchase for $6.00 per table in leopard print.
Grill	We have one charcoal grill available for use Charge for use of the grill is $10 Grill must be reserved ahead of time You must supply your own charcoal & lighter
DecorationsBalloonsParty Favors	Decorations are not provided by the Zoo, but you are welcome to bring them with you These items must stay in the picnic area
Train	Train rides are available on the hour for $2.50 per person To make special arrangements for your group, call (512) 970-2987
Animal Food	Food for our petting corral area is available in the Gift Shop for $2.00 per bag
Inclement Weather	You may re-schedule your party due to rain or other inclement weather If you cancel your party, your deposit will not be returned If the train tracks get too wet, rides will be suspended until deemed safe to run again Sheltered area is very limited – arrangements to use these may be made based on availability	Venues	These venues are available for rent three times a day, either 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, or 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. There are two venues available for rent: the Peacock Barn and Primate Pavilion. The Peacock Barn is available for $50.00 per time block and is located next to the Discovery Center, Train Station, and Petting Corral. The Primate Pavilion is available for $75.00 per block and is located next to the Primate Palace at the top of the hill. Both venues are located outdoors and are covered.
