Concerned about the cost of parking when you plan your visit to our Zoo? Parking is always free to our guests.

Forget your stroller? No need to worry, we have strollers available for our guests free of charge on a first come, first served basis.

Do you need a wheelchair for a family member? We have one wheelchair available for guests. Please call in advance to reserve, 512-288-1490 and our Gift Shop staff members will be happy to assist you.

Warmer weather is just around the corner and what better way to stop, relax and refresh during your visit than by stopping at our concession stand, The Big Drip at the Zoo. Hot dogs, nachos, snow cones, and ice cream are just a few of the delectable menu items. Summer hours of operation for The Big Drip:

Servals in Sight!

We are home to three Servals: Nsomi, Satchel, and Simba. Servals are cats who dwell in the savannas of Africa. The Serval is one of the most distinctive felines on the African continent with its spotted and striped fur and long limbs giving it the appearance of a small Cheetah.

Our Servals are presently off display to the public. In order to introduce our Servals to our guests, we will need to construct a new habitat for them. The site is already chosen, now all we need is help from our friends. Your donation will bring us closer to making our dream a reality. You may make a donation with Visa or Mastercard over the phone (512 288 1490), by sending a check in the mail, on our website using our PayPal link, or in person at the Zoo. We have several donation tiers available.

Platinum $1,000.00 – Your name prominently displayed on a plaque on our Serval habitat, an invitation to a reception and a sneak preview of our Serval habitat prior to our grand opening, a one hour private tour for four (subject to schedule availability) and an Austin Zoo t-shirt.

Gold $500.00 – A one-year membership for four, a one hour private tour for four (subject to schedule availability) and an Austin Zoo t-shirt.

Silver $250.00 – Four free Zoo passes, a one hour private tour for four (subject to schedule availability) and an Austin Zoo t-shirt.

Bronze $100.00 - A one hour private tour for four (subject to schedule availability) and an Austin Zoo t-shirt.

Copper $25.00 – Austin Zoo t-shirt.

Free Parking! Ride the Train!

Parking at the Austin Zoo is always free. When you come out, for only $2.50 give our train the Rawhide Rocket a ride. Spring is here at the Austin Zoo! Children under two ride the train for free.

Discovery Center Renovation Complete
