Call to Artists!
We are excited to announce “Austin Zoo Revue 2014”. We are seeking artists to participate in creating art on fiberglass animals for a fundraiser that will benefit and support the Zoo’s mission. A juried art competition, amateur and professional artists, teams or individuals are encouraged to enter. Complete rules and regulations can be obtained by downloading our Call to Artists packet!
Swing Into Summer
Are you a hot shot with a camera? Submit your best Austin Zoo photo taken within the last year to info@austinzoo.org by June 30th. If you win your photo will go on display at the zoo, and you might win a Family of Four Membership and a Private Tour! One submission per person. Ride the Train
Sit back, relax and enjoy a scenic ride aboard the Rawhide Rocket during your stay at Austin Zoo & Animal Sanctuary. Delight to the sights along the 2 1/2 mile route through the picturesque canyon adjacent to our Zoo. An added bonus, riders will view animals not on display to the public. Calvin and Shania, our Texas Longhorns, Emus, Alpacas and more. Children under the age of 2 are always free, all other riders pay only $2.50 per train ride. Purchase your tickets at the train depot, cash and credit cheerfully accepted. Children of all ages are sure to enjoy the ride!
